Blue Dawn Breaking

You came, Lord, to this dark blue earth to love, to serve, to seek, and to save.

Blue dawn breaking,

another day is here.

A day that the Lord has made.

Another day to rejoice,

another day to serve,

another day to care,

another day to trust,

another day to ask,

another day to receive.

God help me it’s a busy time.

I’d rather tend to my bandages…

instead of looking to the care of another.

But you, Lord do a better job of binding up my broken heart than I do. So please, as I rise and extend my hands and heart, won’t you strengthen me? Won’t you multiply the smallest of effort on my part? Meet me all the way, not just half way, cause you know I can’t get there on my own.

And tonight, as I lay down to rest, remind me of the part again where you did meet me all the way, where you took my wounds and bound them with your love and strength, your compassion and hope. Remind me of the part where all I said was “ok, let’s go Lord” and you were already there, where it was already done before I even said a word.

Remind me again of your faithfulness because your way is always the best way.

You came to this dark blue earth to love, to serve, to seek and to save. I praise you my Alpha and Omega, my Beginning and my End.
